01-1039O��Ci���AL Council File # O 1� i�S3 g Green Sheet # 1\ 3 L8'� RESOLUTION F PAUL, MINNESOTA Presented Refened To 1 WHEREAS, healthy attitudes about sea�xality are Committee Date to raising responsible, self-reliant children; and 2 WHEREAS, parents aze the primary sources of sexuality education for their children; and 3 WHEREAS, parents need support from neighbors, schools, community organizations and institutions to instill and 4 reinforce healthy attitudes towazd sexuality; and WHEREAS, "Let's Talk Month" is a statewide initiative that underscores the importance of a strong parhiership betweenthe community andthe family in helping young people fosterresponsible andpositive attitudes towardtheir sexuality; and 8 WHEREAS, working together, parents and their communities can provide the information and support necessary 9 to prepare today's young people for their responsibilities as adults and parents of tomorrow; now therefore be it 10 RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Pau1, does hereby proclaim October 2001 to be LET'S TALK 11 MONTH in the City of Saint Paul, and calls upon all citizens to join in commending this observance.
