01-1037�°�.���`��� Presented Referred To Council File # a 1� �0 3� Green Sheet # l\3 L'1$� Committee Date 1 In Honor of Elise and Jack Lonnee and Their FamiZy 2 WHEREAS, Elise and Jack Lonnee and their children owned and operated the Four Inns 3 Restaurant in downtown Saint Paul for thirty-three years until earlier this week when they 4 left it in the care of Louise and Don LeClair; and 5 WHEREAS, undeterred by four decades' worth of nutritional fads and best-selling weight- 6 loss schemes, the Lonnees invited the whole community to their family table for a steady 7 diet of comfort food; and 8 WHEREAS, over the years, the Lonnees have expanded their family circle to include a 9 multitude of "regulars," including (almost) every political and judicial leader in Saint Paul; 10 and 11 WHEREAS, we will miss their welcoming smiles at the door, the friendly banter at the grill 12 and the certain knowledge that we were among friends; 13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul 14 thanks the entire Lonnee family for their years of offering sustenance and support to all of 15 us and declares today, October 3, 2001, to be Elise and Jack Lonnee Day in the City of 16 Saint Paul.
