RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby
approves the action of the Mayor in replacing the existing City
seal with the seal which is attached hereto and made a part hereof;
and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That henceforth said attached seal shall be
the seal of the City of Saint Paul.

Attached is a resolution which will officially designate a seal
for the City of Saint Paul .
Based on an historical investigation by Erik N!uller of the
Planning and Economic Development Department, it was dzscovered
that the seal which is still in use by tr�e City Clerk and other
City agencies is not a true representation of the original
City Hall . In fact, the building depicted never existed, We
are advised by the City Attorney that it is appropriate .for
the City Council to take action to approve a Gity seal . .
The attached representation was prepared by D'[r. Muller and is
based upon pictures of the original City Hall . Your approval
of the attached resolution is respectfully requested.
