WHEREAS, Handicapped Awareness Week will be held May 13 - 19, and
WHEREAS, the purpose of Handicapped Awareness Week is to promote and
increase the public's awareness of both the needs and abilities
t�f disabled citizens; and
WHER��--�ublic officials should have the opportunity to meet with
�.isabled citizens to share concerns and ideas, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor's Advisory Committee on Handicapped People wishes to
organize a tea to give officials and citizens the opprtunity to
get together, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul, having found public
purpose for public officials and handicapped people to have the
opportunity to meet together to discuss mutual concerns, does
hereby appropriate $50.00 to be paid as needed, for the purpose
of funding a tea for public officials, disabled citizens and
the Mayor's Advisory Committee on Handicapped People, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon recommendation of the Mayor and pursuant to
section 10 .07.4 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, there
is hereby transferred the following in the 1979 budget:
