The meeting was called to order at 10:35 a.m.
STAFF PRESENT: Corinne Asuncion, LIEP (License, Inspections, Environmentai Protecfion);
Jeff Hawkins, LIEP; Kristine Schweinler, LI.EP
Gerry Strathman stated this meeting is being held to heaz objections to a license applicafion
requested by Thomas M. Vang, doing business as Midsnelling Auto, 591 Snelling Avenue North.
Mr. Vang has applied for a Second hand Dealer-Motor Vehicle license.
Kristine Schweinier, Senior L'acense Inspeetor, appeazed and stated the owner has met all the
licensing requirements; however, Ms. Schweinler recommends some conditions on this license.
The zoning inspector wouid like to meet with the applicant to determine the number of cazs
ailowed to park on the lot due to the complaints received. It looks like pazking is a major issue.
Mr. Strathman asked how they shouid proceed. Mr. Hawkins responded that he has not received
any complaints in zoning about this property. Now that he knows there are concerns, he would
like to place conditions on all auto related issues so there aze no complaints in the future. He
would like to meet with the owner to discuss a site plan. He did not have time to visit the
property before today's heazing, but he will visit the site.
Gerry Strathman laid over this matter to September 7, 2001, 11:00 a.m. If Mr. Vang and Mr.
Hawkins reach an agreement that addresses the issues raised in the letters, then it will not be
necessary to appeaz tomorrow.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:39 a.m.
NOTE: An agreement was reached between 7eff Hawkins and Thomas M. Vang; therefore, there
was no need to hold a hearing on September 7. Mr. Vang has signed the conditions.
