WHEREAS, a Resolution will be submitted to this Council
whereby Section 12. 6 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between
the City of St. Paul and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers,
Local No. 110, is amended to provide for the hiring of Lighting Maintenance
Workers under a program whereby they would be covered by Union fringe
benefits as opposed to the existing City fringe benefits, as more particularly
set forth. in said Resolution; and
WHEREA5, it is necessary to hire persons in this position of
Lighting Maintenance Worker in the very near future; and
WHEREAS, it is desired by the City of Saint Paul to have such
new Lighting Maintenance Workers be covered under the amendment to
Section 12. 6 of said Collective Bargaining Agreement; now, th.erefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the proposed amendment to Section 12. 6 set
forth in said Resolution shall be retroactive to the date of the first reading of
this instant Resolution.
