An ordinance amending Section 152. 09 of
the Saint Paul Legislative Code; providing
for the initial licensing of vehicles not
more than two (2) years old as taxicabs.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1.
That Section 152. 09 (1) of the Saint Paul Legislative Code
be amended to read as follows:
Every vehicle licensed initially as a taxicab
shall be a new vehicle.- or a used vehicle not more
than two model years old as of January 1 of the
license year which has been certified by an authorized
dealer, in acco�dance with standards adopted by the
License Inspec�or, to be in a safe operating condition.
All taxicab vehicle licenses shall ex ire four ears
rom the date said vehicle was irst icensed y t e
State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety.

as-et-tex�eet�.- A "new vehicle" for the purpose of
this subsection is defined as a vehicle in a new and
unused condition.
Section 2.
This ordinance shall be in force and take effect thirty
(30) days after its passage, approval, and publication.
