BLUE - MAVOR - ��At�'� Council Resolution �� Presented By ' Referred To Committee: Date Out of Committee By Date RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT ON LOST INTEREST COUPONS, CITY OF SAINT PAUL GENERAL IMPROVEMENT BONDS, SERIES N0. 7, ISSUED FEBRUARY 1 , 1959 WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has been advised by Citibank of New York of the loss of nine coupons of a value of $16. 00 each payable August 1, 1979 , detached from City of Saint Paul, Minnesota 3.20$ General Improvement Bonds, Series No. 7, dated February 1, 1959 , due February 1, 1982, Bond Nos. 28765/68, 28770/72 , 28774 , and 28776; and WHEREAS, the City is in receipt of the Affidavit of an officer of Citibank respecting the fact of custody and right of possession of said detached coupons and of the fact that said coupons are missing, and of a surety bond in double the amount due on said lost coupons issued by Safeco Insurance Companies in favor of the City and its paying agents on said bond issue. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Saint Paul that pursuant to provision of Minnesota Statutes, Section 475. 70, the City Department of Finance and Management Services and The First National Bank of Saint Paul and The Chase Manhattan Bank are hereby authorized to make payment upon the hereinbefore identified bond coupons. Byrne, Assistant City Attorney �� Re: Claim against the City of Saint Paul by Richard T. Hetchler The above claimant has requested reimbursement for damages and injuries sustained to himself on or about January 27, 1977 , arisinq out of an incident in which he was arrested by police officers in the employ of the City of Saint Paul in the vicinity of 135 E. King Street, and transported to the St. Paul Police Department and held for several hours thereafter. This office approves the settlement of this claim in the amount of $1, 300. 00. �O
