RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR 9CCEPTANCE OF FUNDS FROM
METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR FIRST PHASE OF NORTH QUADRANT
WHEREAS, in January, 2000, the City of Saint Paul Planning and Economic Development Department
submitted a proposal to the Metropolitan Housing Implementation Group through their Multi-Family
Request for Proposals to consider funding for construction of the first phase of North Quadrant; and
WHEREAS, the fust phase of North Quadrant consists of construction of the Sibley Pazk Apartments, 114-
units of affordable rental housing and The Essex on the Park, 38 for-sale homeownership units; and
WHEREAS, the City was awazded Metropolitan Livable Communities Act Inclusionary Housing Account
grant funds from the Metropolitan Council (hereinafter referred to as the "Met Council Funds") on May 24,
2000 to help fund the Sibley Park Apartments and The Essex on the Park; and
WHEREAS, the projects were funded by the Met Council as follows:
$500,000 Sibley Pazk Aparhnents - Rental Housing Development
450 000 The Essex on the Park - Owner-Occupied Housing Development
$950,000
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Saint Paul, that the City accepts the above grants
in the total amount of $950,000 for the conshucrion of the first phase of North Quadrant and amends the
budget as follows:
