WHEREAS, the St. Paul Winter Carnival is America's Greatest and Grandest
Winter Spectacular, and
WHEREAS, the St. Paul Winter Carnival has brought to St. Paul wide publ3.c
acclaim throughout North America, and
WHEREAS, the St. Paul Winter Carnival sponsors numerous activities and
events for the citizens of St. Paul, and
WHEREAS, the St. Paul Winter Carnival activities are organized and conducted
by many volunteers and spirited St. Paulites, and
WHEREAS, Mayor George Latimer, the St. Paul City Council, and citizens of
St. Paul appreciate in sincere gratitude the Winter Carnival and its
volunteers, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City of St. Paul hereby declares January 24, 1980, as
St. Paul Winter Carnival Volunteer Day in recognition of all Winter
Carnival Volunteers, and be it further
RESOLVED, that Mayor Lat�mer and the City Council recogn3ze 3n thanka and
praise Ma.x Parslow for his participation in the Winter Carnival since �.948
and for his spirited dedication and ma�or commitment to the W3nter Carnival
Majorette contest.
