WHEREAS, the St. Paul Winter Carnival is America's Greatest and Grandest
W inter Spectacular, and
WHEREAS, the St. Paul Winter Carnival has brought to St. Paul wide public
acclaim throughout North America, and
WHEREAS, the St. Paul Winter Carnival sponsors numerous activ3ties and
events for the citizens of St. Paul, and
WHEREAS, the St. Paul Winter Carnival activities are organized and conducted
by ma.ny volunteers and spirited St. Paulites, and
WHEREAS, Mayor George Latimer, the St. Paul City Council, and citizens of
St. Paul appreciate in sincere gratitude the Winter Carnival and its
. volunteers, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City of St. Paul hereby declares January 24, 1980, as
St. Pau1 Winter Carnival Volunteer Day in recognit3.on of a11 Winter
Carnival Volunteers, and be it further
RESOLVED, that Ma.yor Latimer and the City Council recogn3ze 3.n thanks and
praise Tony & Ag Mieloch for their long time directorship of the St. Paul
Junior Royalty Program and their year long association and care af the Junior
Royal Court.
