WHEREAS, the St. Paul Winter Carnival is America's Greatest and Grandest
Winter Spectacular, and
WEIEREAS, the St. Paul Winter Carnival has brought to St. Paul wide public
acclaim throughout North America, and
WHEREAS, the St. Paul Winter Carnival sponsors numerous activities and
events for the citizens of St. Paul, and
WHEREAS, the St. Paul Winter Carnival activities are organi.zed and conducted
by ma.ny volunteers and spirited St. Paul3tes, and
WHEREAS, Mayor George Latimer, the St. Paul C3ty Council, and cit3zens of
St. Paul appreciate in sincere gratitude the Winter Carnival and 3.ts
volunteers, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City of St. Paul hereby declares January 24, 1980, as
St. Paul Winter Carnival Volunteer Day in recognition of all Winter
Carnival Volunteers, and be it further
RESOLVED, tha.t Mayor Latimer and the City Council recognize in thanks and
praise Sandy Kutal for her talents as a former Klond3ke Ka.te and dedication
as one of the best Boreau Button Boosters in St. Paul.
