The Council of the City of St. Paul will hold a public hearing in the Gouncil
Chambers of the City �iall and Court House (third floor) at 10:00 A.M. on
August 26, T980 on� the advtsability of--proceeding with the foliriwing City project;
Grade and pave the alley in Stinson's Subdivision of Block 96 and Auditor's
Subdivision No. 69 from E. �ifth Strcet to Mendota Street.
� Also, open, widen and extend an alley in Block 2, Auditors Subdivision
No. 69 from Sth Street to the alley in Stinsons S ubdivision of Block 96
of Lyman Dayton's Addition by condemning and taking a permanent easement
for alley purposes on, over and across the following described land:
,
Lot 1, Block 2 Auditor's Subdivision No. 69;
Also that part of Lots 3, 10, and 13, said Block 2, -
Auditors Subdivision No. 69 lying north of the extension
of the south line of the �alley in Stinsons Sub. of
Block 96 of Lyman Daytons Addition from its inter- �
section with the northeasterly line of said Lot 10
to its intersection witr the southwesterly line of said
Lot 3 and lying south and west of the following described line:
Beginning at the intersection of the north line of the
alley in Stinson's Sub. of Block 96 of Lyman Daytons Add.
with said lot 3; thence westerly along the extension of
said north line of the alley to the intersection with
the extension south of the west line of said Lot 3;
thence northwesterly on straight line to the southeast
corner of Lot 1 , Block 2 Auditors Sub. No. 69, and there
terminating;
Also, condemning and taking an easement in the land necessary for the
slopes , cuts and fills , including rigt►t of removal of lateral support
from subject land or remainder tt�ereof, occasioned by excavations
thereof or construction of slopes in the grading and paving of said
alleys from Sth St. to Mendota St.

The total estimated cost of this improvement is $13,600.00. The improv�ment
will be totally assessed. The estimated rate per assessable foot is $12.00.
If you wish detailed informatfon regarding this proposed improvement, you may
telephone 292-6281 for construction information (Public Works) or 298-5241 for
assessment information (Department of Finance and Management Services). In addi-
tion the City Technical Advisors will be available to meet with you and discuss this
proposed improvement in Room 218 City Hall from 9:30 to 10:00 A.M. the same day as
the hearing.
While the City Charter requires that we notify you of the hearing, we want to help
you to learn fully about any improvements, that could affect you or your community.
Therefore, I sincerely hope you can attend this hearing, so that you can make your
views about it known to the City Council, whether for or against. �
