RESOLVED, that upon execution and delivery of a release
in full to the City of Saint Paul, the proper City officers
are hereby authorized and directed to pay out of the Tort
Liability Fund 09070-511-000 to Pauline M. Rousu and Robert
Rousu, individually and as husband and wife, the sum of $4,250.00
in full settlement of their claim for dama.ges and injuries sustained
to Pauline M. Rousu as a result of a sidewalk fall at or near
the northeast corner of University and Snelling, Saint Paul,
Minnesota, on April 14, 1978.

RE: Claim of Pauline Rousu against the
City of Saint Paul
This lady had $2,000 in lost wages, and about $600 in medical
bills. She had a 5% permanent injury to her wrist and elbow.
This was the result of a fall on the siderdalk at the northeast
corner of University and Snelling. The sidewalk was in fairly
bad condition and had been so for a number of years. The lady
herself was guilty of some inattention to her own safety, so
that the value of her injuries was not as great as it would
otherwise ha.ve been.
This office approves the settlement of $4,250 in this case.
