1 WHEREAS, The Ciry Council of the City of Saint Paul, pursuant to Chapter 62 of the Administrative Code
2 and following the public hearing held on November 1Q 1999, did adopt a Resolurion establishing the level of
3 Street and Alley Maintenance Service to be performed in the City of Saint Paul, and the estimated amount of
4 service charges to be levied against benefited property, the work to be performed in 2000, and the charges to
� be collected with the regulaz taxes in 2001; and

WHEREAS, The Department of Public Works has performed the approved street and alley maintenance work
and submitted its report together with the total cost of street and alley maintenance in the amount of
$16,251,276; and
WI3EREAS, The City CouncIl determined that the City shall pay the sum of $7,933,076 of the street and alley
maintenance costs by using Municipal State Aid ($1,865,697), Trunk Highway Aid ($329,939), County Aid
($723,560), Miscellaneous Receipts ($545,000), General Fund ($3,868,067), Interest ($134,863), Fund
Balance ($465,950); and the remaining amount of $8,318,200 shall be assessed against benefited properties,
and further resolved that a Public Hearing was held in the City CouncIl chambers on October 4th, 2000, for
the purpose of adopting the service charges against all benefited properties; and
WHEREAS, The Council of the Ciry of Saint Paul did hold a Public Hearing on October 4th, 2000, for this
purpose, and, having heard all interested parties, does hereby adopt the following service charges in
accordance with Chapter 14 of the City Charter and said Chapter 62 of the AdministraUve Code, now,
therefore, be it

submitted to the Department of Finance and Management Services a report showing the total cost of street
maintenance to be $16,251,276, a copy of such report has heretofore been delivered to the City Council; now,
therefore, be it

1 WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Saint Paul, pursuant to Chapter 62 of the Adwinistrative Code
2 did hold a public hearing on November 10, 1999, in the City Council Chambers for the purpose of
3 establishing the level of street and alley maintenance to be performed in the City of Saint Paul and the amount
4 of service chazges to be levied against benefited properry; and

WHEREAS, The Depar[ment of Public Works did perform the 2000 street and alley maintenance services in a
manner as set forth and approved by the Ciry Council and described in the report of the Department of Public
Works; and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Chapter 62 of the Administrarive Code, the Department of Public Works has
submitted to the Department of Finance and Management Services a report showing the total cost of street
maintenance to be $16,251,276, a copy of such report has heretofore been delivered to the City Council; now,
therefore, be it
13 RESOLVED, That the Ciry shall pay $7,933,076 of the cost of streets and alley maintenance by using
-{ q Municipal State Aid ($1,865,697), Trunk Highway Aid ($329,939) County Aid ($723,560), Miscellaneous
� 5 Receipts ($545,000), General Fund ($3,868,067), Interest ($134,863), Fund Balance ($465,950); and be it
