WHEREAS, the Union Gospel Mission Association of Saint Paul
hereafter referred to as "Union Gospel", has requested that an
easement of apgroximately 80 feet of sewer in the center line of
vacated Westminster Street be granted to the City as a public
sewer; and
WHEREAS, the legal description of the proposed dedication is
described as follows :
A 20 foot wide strip of land centered along the
centerline of vacated Westminster Street extending
from the north line of Lafayette Road as opened
in 1965 at its intersection with University Avenue
northerly to a line �gg feet north of �he north
line of the said Lafayette Road-University Avenue
intersection as measured along the said centerline
of vacated Westminster Street.
and
WHEREAS, the Valuation and Assessment, and the Public Works
Departments have reviewed matter relating to the proposed Grant of
Easement and have determined that said grant is in the best interest
of the City of Saint Paul.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of
Saint Paul, by this resolut�,on, hereby authorizes and directs the
propery City officers to accept, on behalf of the City of Saint Paul,
a Grant of Easement as above described, in a manner and form

CERTIFICATE
I, HOWARD F. KIDDER, Secretary of The Union Gospel Mission
Association of St. Paul, a Minnesota non-profit corporation,
certify that at the regular monthly meeting of the Board of
Directors of the corporation held January 29 , 1980, the following
action was taken:
"To accomplish the re-dedication of the sewer line to
the city, it was moved by Mr. Larson and seconded by
Dr. Mayer that the president be authorized to take
whatever action necessary, it being intended that the
Mission shall grant an easement along the centerline-
of vacated Westminster Street extending north from
the north line of Lafayette Road as opened in 1965 at
its intersection with University Avenue northerly to a
line at such distance north of the point of beginning �
as may be negotiated by the President of the Mission
with the City of St. Paul as being the best interest
of the Mission; and the President, the Vice President or
the Superintendent, and the Secretary or the Assistant
Secretary of this corporation are hereby authorized to
make, sign and deliver a grant of said easement and all
ot'her documents and do and perform all other acts
necessary and appropriate in carrying out this Resolution . "
The foregoing action was taken by unanimous vote.
The corporation, having elected to come under the provisions
of Chapter 317, Minnesota Statutes, is subject to the provisions
of said statute .
