Subject: Petition of Capitol Coqmmunity Services for the vacation
of the a11ey over the east 10 feet of Lot 16, Block l,
J. F. Eise�nenger's Addition.
Public Hearin� - July 22, 1980
The petitioner requests tha.t this va.cation be granted so the vacated area
can accrue back to Lot 16 f4�om which it was original�y taken. The pro-
posed sale and ftiture development of Lots 1�+ thru 16 substantiaL�y depends
on this va.cation, and the development will return said property to the tax
rolls. The proposed va.cated area is 10 feet by 12�+,62 feet (1,2�+6.2 squase
feet) and is zoned R.T. l.
The Depa.rtment of Public Works has reviewed the proposed vacation and
reports it has no objection to it. ,
The staff of the Department of Planning and Economic Development has re-
viewed this va.cation and finds no objection to the vaca.tion as proposed.
District No. 6 Planning Council does support the va.cation of said a11ey. R
There were no other ob3ections or recommendations from ar�y other public or
priva.te agencies involved.
In view of the foregoing, I recommend that the va,aa,tion be approved, sub3ect
to the follcn�ring terms and conditions;
l. That the description of the a11ey to be vaca�ed be described
as foLlows:
East 10 feet of Lot 16, Block l,
J. F. Eise�nenger's Addition to -
St. Paul.
( 2. That the vacation be sub3ect to all the terms and conditions
of Cha,pter 228 of the St. Pa.ul Legisla.tive Code, as a.mended.
� 3. That the petitioner pa,y to the City the sum of $800.00 as
compensation for the vacation.
