WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul wishes to conduct the overall evaluation
process of franchise proposals received in accordance with the terms of
the Invitation for Applications published May 27, 1980, in an orderly
manner; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has contracted with the Cable Television
Information Center, Washington, D.C. , to evaluate ownership, financial ,
technical and service aspects of all applicants for cable television service
�in Saint Paul ; and,
WHEREAS, the Cable Television Information Center is a nationally-known,
nonprofit organization that has extensive experience in providing similar
;franchising evaluation services to other major metropolitan areas nation-
'Vvide; therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council will only consider evaluations
from interested groups or individuals after receiving the preliminary
evaluation report from the Cable Television Information Center, which is
expected to be presented to the Saint Paul City Council approximately
90 days after August l, 1980.
