An administrative Resolution amending th• Salary
Plan and Rates of Compensation Resolution by
establishing the compensation rate for the class of
Blacksmith Trainee.
RESOLVED, that the Salary Plan and Rates of Compensation
Resolution be amended in Section II thereof, by inserting imrnediately
after subsection T, the following:
"U The compensation for the class of Blacksmith Trai.nee, in
Section 3.A. 1. (Building Trades - Ungraded - Boilermakers)
of the Civil Service Rules shall be as shown below:
. Starting Rate 60% of the base rate for Blacksmith
A.fter 6 Months 65% of the base rate for Blacksmith
After 1 Year 70% of the base rate for Blacksmith
After 2 years and
thereafter 75% of the base rate for Blacksmith ".

ACTION REQUESTED
We recommend your approval and submission of this Resolution to the City Council.
PURPOSE AND RATIONALE FOR THIS ACTION:
This Resolution establishes the rate of pay for the new title of Blacksmith
Trainee which is being established in the Building Trades - Ungraded
(3.A. 1. } Section of the Civil Service Rules.
The hourly wage to be inserted in Section II U of the Salary Plan and
Rates of Compensation Resolution will be as follows:
Start $7. 76 per hour {60% of scale)
After 6 months 8.40 per hour (65% of scale)
After 1 year 9. 05 per hour (70% of scale)
After 2 years
and thereafter 9. 70 per hour (75% of scale)
