Virality Program (RSVP) was $25.50 per assessable foot; and
WHEREAS, in 200Q the assessment rate for the modified lantem styte liahting was $4.50 per assessable foot, and the altemarive

WHEREAS, [he most recent Minnesota-Saint Paul Urban Consumer Price Index showed an increase of 4.2% from the fust half of
1999 (161.4) to the fust half of 2000 (168.1); now therefore, be it
RESQLVED, that in order for the assessment rate to reflect the increased construction costs and benefit to the pcoperty owneLS,
the assessment rate for sireet paving in connecrion with RSVP is increased 42% from $25.50 to $26.57 per assessable foot for all
such RSVP projects apgroved by Final Ocder aftex October 1, 2000, to be conshvcted in 2001; and
20 BE LT F'[TRTf�R RESOLVED, that the assessmeni rate for the modified lantern style tighting is increased 4.2% from $4.50 to
21 $4.69 per assessable foot, and the alternative bent straw lighung increased 4.2% from $2.82 to $2.94 per assessable foot for all such
22 projects approved by Final Order after OctAber 1, 20Q0, to be constructed in 2�01; and

24 BE IT FIlVALLY RESOLVED, the assessment rate for teconstruction of five foot wide and six foot wide sidewalks is increased
25 4.2% from $9.65 to $10.06 and from $ll.58 to $12.07 respecdvely per assessable foot for 1, 2, and 3 family proper[ies for all such

In 1990, the City Council adopted a resolution calling for the assessments for CSSP projects to be adjusted each yeaz accozding to the
previous yeaz's change in Minneapolis-Saint Paul Urban Consumer Price Index (90-1459). In addition, in 1992, the City Council adopted a
similar resolution dealing with reconstruction of sidewalks (92-146). In 1995, the City Council adopted a similaz resolution for the
Residential Street Paving Program (95-1127). We aze proposing to increase assessmen[ rates for 2001 by 4.2% as per past practice.
