An Administrative Resolution amending the Salary
Plan and Rates of Compensation Resolution by
establishing the compensation rate for the class of
Custodian Engineer III--Library.
RESOLVED, that the Salary Plan and Rates of Compensation
Resolution be amended in Section II thereof, by inserting immediately
after Subsection Q, the following:
"R The compensation for the class of Custodian Engineer III--
Library, in Section 3. C (Custodial Engineers, Ungraded
Group), shall be as shown below:
Starting rate $8. 45 per hour
After six months $8. 91 per hour

Tlie Finance Committee , at its meeting of April �8 , 1980 , recomme��ded approval
of the following :
l . Resolution revising minimum qualifications for Fire Captaiii to � require
completion of a teacher traii�ing course within the one year probationary
period and to specify experience cannot be substituted for �both sections
of the course. (10852-RH)
2 . Resolutron revising class specs for Gardener to better describe duties
and responsibility of position and revise minimum_ qualifications to.
specify "commercial" experience and to allow ec�ucatior� _in horticulture .
No chan�e in rate of pay . (I0853-RH)
3 . Resolution revising class specs for titles of Custodian Engineer I �, II-
Library. Major difference is distinctioiz between small and large branch
libraries . (1U855-RH)
4 . Resolution establishing title of Custodian Engineer III-Library and a
class specification . This class defines duties and responsibilities
of the position which supervises the maintenance of the Centxal Library.

PURPOSE AND RATIONALE FOR THIS ACTION:
This Resolution will establish a rate of pay of $8. 45 for the first six months and $8. gl
after six months for the title of Custodian Engineer III--Library, This is the same
rate of pay given to the Custodian Engineer III.
