Council Resolution Presented By Referred To Committee: Date Out of Committee By Date WHEREAS, the City Council has been informed by the Minnesota Historical Society of its intention to nominate the Triune Masonic Lodge, 1898 Iglehart to the National Register of Historic Places; and WHEREAS, the City Council , in resolution #268523, has asked the Heritage Preservation Commission to review and comnent on National Register nominations in the City of Saint Paul ; and WHEREAS, the Heritage Preservation Commission has no objections to the nomination of the Triune Masonic Lodge to the National Register of Historic Places; and WHEREAS, the Triune Masonic Temple, built in 1910, is a Neo-Classical landmark in Merriam Park and is one of the earliest Mason Blue Lodge buildings in the state; and WHEREAS, the owners of the Triune Masonic Temple have requested National Register designation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Saint Paul City Council that the Council has no objections to the nomination of the Triune Masonic Temple to the National Register of Historic Places . They are being considered for National Register designation at the request of their owners, The properties are to be considered at a meeting of the State Review Board on June 26, 1980. This presentation is the first step in the nomination process. As you have already been notified, in a letter dated May 23, �1980, the City of St. Paul is encouraged to comment on this nomi�ation, I should-also point out that my staff is in close contact with the St. Paul Heritage Preservation Commission: Should you wish to discuss this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.
