WHEREAS, the City, through its designated representatives, has met and conferred i.n order to establish the terms and conditions of employment for such personnel as are set forth i.n the "Memorandum of Understanding"; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the "Memorandum of Understanding" cited above, dated as of.the effective date of this Resolution, on file in the office of the City Clerk, is hereby approved, and the authorized administrative officials of the City are hereby authorized and directed to execute said "Memorandum of Understanding" on behalf of the City. Except as herein modified, the Memorandum of Understanding cited above shall remain unchanged. 2. PURPOSE AND RATIONALE FOR THIS ACTION: This Resolution approves a Memorandum of Understa.nding applicable to employees holding the title of Assistant Fire Chief. This Memorandum amends the effect ive dates of the 1981 and 1982 wage in.crease memorandums. The change in the effective dates are from January 3, 1981 and January 2, 1982 to � December 27, 1980 and December 26, 1981 respectively. These new effective dates are the beginning of .. payroll periods and are the da.tes which reflect the intentions at the time of the original Memorandum.
