lJHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul did authorize the submission of
an Urban Development Action Grant application for the Saint Paul Hotel project on
January 29, 1980 by Council File Number 274359; and
WHEREAS, the Council did authorize and direct the Mayor to submit said
application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in such form as
prescribed by the applicable rules and regulations; and
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has approved
said grant application in the amount of $2,860,000, as stated in the attached
notice of award letter; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby accept the
said grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the
Saint Paul Hotel project; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and
directed to execute such agreements and to provide such assurances as necessary
between the City of Saint Paul and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development for the Urban Development Action Grant for the Saint Paul Hotel
project; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and
directed to execute such agreements as are necessary between the City of Saint
Paul and the Participating Parties as defined in the Grant Agreement for the
Saint Paul Hotel project.
