WHEREAS, a suspension hearing is presently scheduled before the Civ�.l
Service Commission on Wednesday, November 26, 1980 and an appeal on ap,piication
rejection is scheduled before the Civil Service Commission on Wednesday,
December 3, 1980, and the members of the Commission have been notified of the
hearing dates; and
WHEREAS, Ted Besaw is unable to attend said hearings because of inedical
reasons and has notified the Mayor; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, that the nomination
by the Mayor of Harry Gaston, 627 Livingston Avenue, Saint Paul, 55107
is approved to sit on said hearing commission with the same powers as the
regular members pursuant to Civil Service Rule 32 A 1.

to finance remodeling and reconstruction o.f Mangini 's and the Ramsey County
Attorney's Offices in the Lowry Hotel Building by Gapitol Properties. (115Q3-GM)
- 3. Resolution approving issuance of revenue bonds by the Port Authority for
• financing construction of manufacturing and office facilities for Sealy of
Minnesota, Inc. (11504-GM)
4. Resolution approving 1�1emorandum of Understanding amending the effective dates
of the 1981 and 1982 wage increase memorandums applicable to employees holding

We recommend your approval and submission of this Resolution to the City Council.
PURPOSE AND RATIONALE FOR THIS ACTION:
This Resolution establishes the title and class specificatiari for Physical
Fitness Coordinator in 5ection 3. J (Professiar�al-Administrative Non-
Supervisors) in the Civil Service Ru1es, in Grade 16.
The Physical Fitness Coordinator will be responsible for the direction of
the Fire Departm,ent's Physical Fitaess Program.
The bi-weekly rates for Grade 16 are �as follows:
