WHEREAS, the Charter requirement of 8% of the votes cast for mayor in the last city election applied to the total vote of 37,003 results in a requirement of 2,960 valid signatures for validity of the petition; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of St. Paul, _ pursuant to Section $D3 of the St. Paul City Charter, hereby determines that said petition is sufficient and valid; and, be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to take the necessary steps for publication of the proposed ordinance and place�ent on the ballot for the November 4, 1980 general election.
