RESOLUTION APPROVING MAINTENANCE AGREEMENTS WITH
AMHERST H. WILDER FOUNDATION AND MINNESOTA MINING
& MANUFACTURING COMPANY FOR LANDSCAPING ON
EAST SEVENTH STREET
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul was awarded an Urban Development
Action Grant ("UDAG") Number B-79-AA-27-0009 and is proceeding to
complete certain street and pedestrian mall improvements on East
Seventh Street as contemplated by the UDAG; and
WHEREAS, in consideration of certain of said UDAG improvements
being located near the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation ("Wilder")
property on East Seventh Street, Wilder has agreed to enter into
a Maintenance Agreement wherein it undertakes certain maintenance
responsibilities for a part of the UDAG landscaping areas as set
forth therein; and
WHEREA5, in consideration of certain of said UDAG improvements
being located near the Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Company
("3M") property on East Seventh Street, 3M has agreed to enter
into a Maintenance Agreement wherein it undertakes certain main-
tenance responsibilities for a part of the UDAG landscaping areas
as set forth therein.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Maintenance Agreements
with Wilder and with 3M are hereby approved and the proper officers
of the City are authorized to execute the same upon approval as to
form by an Assistant City Attorney.
