RESOLVED, That upon recommendation of the Mayor, the Council
of the City of Saint Paul hereby endorses and supports the St.
Paul Marathon to be held Sunday, October 4, 1981, commencing at
8:00 a.m. , and covering the following route:
Start at Sixth and Cedar, South on Cedar to Fourth
Street, South on Jackson to Shepard Road, West on
Shepard Road to Mississippi Boulevard, Mississippi
Boulevard to Summit Avenue, East on Summit Avenue
to Fairview Avenue, North on Fairview Avenue to
Pierce Butler Road, East on Pierce Butler Road to
Lexington Parkway, North on Lexington Parkway to
Como Boulevard, East on Como Boulevard to Wheelock
Parkway, East on Wheelock Parkway to Johnson Parkway,
South on Johnson Parkway to Minnehaha Avenue, South
on Minnehaha to Seventh Street, Seventh Street to
finish line at Seventh and Robert Streets;
and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, 'I'hat the Mayor and Council heartily en-
courage Saint Paul jogging enthusiasts to participate in this
athletic endeavor and wish all of the participants well in the
successful running of the course.
