RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT
PAUL, MINNESOTA APPROVING AND AUTHORTZING THE
FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR A FEDERAL GRANT UNDER
PUBLIC LAW 89-136, AS AMENDED, FOR ENERGY PARK
WHEREAS, there is a need to augment the available funding for
Saint Paul' s Energy Park; and
WHEREAS, the City is eligible for a federal grant for public
improvements in Energy Park under Public Law 89-136, as amended.
Now therefore, be it
�tFSOLVED that upon the recommendation of the Mayor, and with
the advice of the Capital Improvement Budget Committee, the Council
of the City of Saint Paul does hereby approve the filing of an
application for a $2 .4 million federal grant for the construction
of Sanitary Sewers, Water Lines and Storm Sewers in Energy Park.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that Mayor George Latimer, as Chief
Executive Officer of the City of Saint Paul is hereby authorized
and directed to submit said application for a federal grant to
the U.S . Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administra-
tion, in such form as prescribed by the regulations of said
Administration, and, be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Mayor or his designated represen-
tative is further authorized to execute and submit to the U.S.
Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration,
any assurances, certifications, or additional information that
may be required by said Administration during its review of the

City' s application for an EDA federal grant and that the proper
officers of the City are hereby authorized to execute whatever
contracts are required in order to enter into a valid Grant
Agreement pursuant to the terms of this application.
