RESOLVED, that the Civil Service Rules be amended in Section
5.D so that the fi.fth paragraph of said Section 5.D shall read as follows:
"Every Unclassified employee appointed on or after July 1, 1979,
must become a re sident of the City of Saint Paul within ar��.e�.t�-s
one ye a r of t�zea.�- hi s/he r appointment a��t�.��.-si�-��i�-e€#,�ie
�e-nr��.a�.o�.-e€#.�ierr��o�a�i�r�e�e�.3�-ox�e�s�s and must remain

We recommend your approval and submission of this Resolution to the City Council.
PURPOSE AND RATIONALE FOR THIS ACTION:
This Resolution is for the purpose of extending to one year the time
allowed for unclassified employees to esta.blish City residency after
appointment.
A11 classi�.ed City employees present,ly have at least one year to meet
the residency requirem�ents which apply to them, in accordance with
Civil Se rvice Ru].e s.
