WHE�EAS, The City of Saint Paul provides for a comprehensive Health and Welfare
Insurance Program for city e�aployees and employees of Independent School District #625, as
provided. for under Couneil File No. 267621, as amended, and
WHEREAS, the present hospital and medical-surgical coverage is provided by Blue
Cross and Blue Shield of M3nnesota, and
WHEREAS, The City, pursuant to statute, let out coverage provided by these
contracts for bid, and
WHII3EAS, The Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Minn esota was the low and only bidder on
Bid #A$795F to provide this coverage, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision of the existing contract, the City negotiated
the followi.ng m4nthly premiums for a term of 9 months terminating S�ptember 30, 1981:

Eaxly retirees entitled to active e�ncployee coverage will be rated as active employees above,
and
RESOLVID, that the City and Independent School District �625 shall pay that portion
of the premituns as is agreed upon by the process of collective baxgaining and the earployee
shall pay the balance of premiums due through payroll deduction, and be it
FURTHFR RESOLVID, that the proper �ity Officials be directed. to pay these premi.ums
as they fall due, and be it
FINALLY RF,SOLVED, that the City Clerk be instructed to send a copy of this resolu-
tion to Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Minnesota.
