The Council of the City of St. Paul will hold a public hearing in Council Chambers
of the City Hall and Court House (third floor) at 10:00 A.M. on December 16, 1980
to Consider the ratification of the assessment for Boarding-Up of vacant buildings
for the month ending July 31 , 1980, which work has already been
completed.
The recammended assessment against the property described below is as follows:
LOT BLOCK ADDITION ASSESSMENT
Deferred Assessments: Any person 65 years old or older and homesteading property and
which person meets the qualifications of hardship, as defined in Section 22.97 of the
St. Paul Administrative Code may apply for deferred payment of Special Assessments.
A hardship shall be deemed to exist when the average annual payment for all assessments
exceeds 17 of the Adjusted Gross Income of the applicant, as shown on the most recent
Federal Income Tax Return. For further information call 298-5125.
Appeal from Assessment: Within twenty days after the order adopting the assessment,
any person may appeal to the District Court by filing a notice of appeal with the
City Clerk stating the grounds upon which the appeal is taken. Such notice shall be
filed with the Clerk of the District Court within ten days after the filing with the
City Clerk. (Charter Section 14.01 .4) Failure to file the required notices within
the times specified, shall forever prohibit an appeal from the assessment.
