Wf�REAS, The Division of Housing and Building Coc7�e �forc�erit has requested the
City CoLmcil t�o hold a public hearing to consider the advisability and necessity of the
correction or wrecking and removal of tY�e follawing described building, said stnticture
having been reported. to constitute a public hazard:

WF�EAS, it appears that as of Janua.ry 14, 1981 the last record awners of said
building are as follaws: I�elen M. Gaetke, 1900 Shexran Ave., North St. Paul, NIl�T 55109,
fee awnex; Leslie F. Barton, 834 E. 7th St., St. Paul, NN 55106, unrecorded contract
purchaser. There is an attorney lien to Hugh P. Markley,$253.00 for servioes dane on
behalf of Leslie F. BartAn.
�S, the Division of Housing and Building Code Enforcement, on behalf of the
City Council did notify by mail the above not�ed parties of int�exest at their last
knc�m acldress.
WI�S, a public hearing was held by and before the Council of the City of
Saint Paul in the Council CY�amber of the Court House in said City at 10:00 a.m. on
Thursday, February 5, 1981 to consider the advisability and nec;essity of ord�ering tl�
correctian or wrecking and ranoval of said structure on the above described property
inasmuch as said structure is reported to aonstitute a hazat�d to public health, safety
and welfare;

inspection reports and the recamrnnda.tion of the Building Department, it is further
determined that tY�e above building aonstitutres a ha.zardous building within the defini-
tion of MirirLesota Statutes 463.15 for tY�e follawing reasons:

2. This building has been used for storage. It is structurally weak and
hazardous;
3. The c�onditions outlined above constitute a public hazard;
4. The owner has made no att�e.mpt tA satisfactoril_y re�ir the damage;
5, The continued vacant and boarded up corydition oontributes a blighting in-
fluence on tYie neighborhood;

RESOLUED, That in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 463.15 through 463.25,
and based �on the foregoing findings of the City CoLmcil, the Co�mcil of the City
of Saint Paul does hereby make the folllawing Order:
ORDER
1. The cx�mer of ttie above described building shall make the same safe and not
detrime.ntal to the public peace, health, safety and welfare by having the said
building razed and the materials therefrom removed frc�► the premises within thirty
(30) days fram the date of the service of this Order;
2. Unless such oorrective action is taken tA �ly wi.th thiS O�'der or an
answer served upon the City of Saint Paul and filed in the office of the Clerk of
the District Court of R�msey Co�mty, Minnesota within twenty (20) days from the date
of the servioe of this Order, a Motion for s�ia.ry enforcement of this Order to
raze and rempve the said building will be made to the Ramsey CoLmty District Court;
3, In the event that the building is to be razed by the City of Saint Paul
pursuant to judgr�nt of the District Court, all personal property or fixtures of
