In accordance with the agreement, the county will reimburse the city $60,000 toward the construction cost of the parking lot from regional park grant funds. The county has an approved regional park grant from the Metropolitan Council that includes this project. County representatives have participated with the ciry in preparing plans for the parking lot and are in the process of reviewing the final plan documents. Once the city has entered into a construction contract, the city can bill Ramsey County up to $60,000 for its share of the construction cost. Ramsey County will then submit a request for reimbursement to the Metropolitan Council under the terms of the grant agreement. Insofar as we are implementing provisions of an approved aqreement, no further action is required by the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners. The Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Department has enjoyed the opportunity to work with the city on this joint recreational complex. We believe the compfeted project will provide tremendous recreational opportunities for the neighborhood and regionai park users.
