The enclosed Resolution authorizes staff to execute a contract with HUD for our portion ($2.9 million). The necessity for this action is the various rumors that are abounding in Washington as to what the incoming administration is likely to do regarding this and other programs. We want to insure ourselves that there will be no action taken retroactively on this program and therefore, want to execute the grant agreement as quickly as possible.
