WHEREAS the Cagnaissioner of Transportation for the State of Minnesota has prepared:
plans, special provisions, and specifications for the improvement of Trunk Highway
No. 111, rentnabered as Trunk Highway No. 5 (West Seventh Street) , within the
corporate limits of the City of Saint Paul, from Chestnut Street to Fifth Street;
and seeks the approval thereof:
NOW, T�i, BE IT RESOLVED that said plans and special provisions for the i.mprovement
of said Trunk Highway within said corporate limits of the City, be and hereby are
approved includinq the elevations and grades as shown and consent is hereby qiven
to any and all changes in grade occasioned by said construction.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City does hereby aqree to require the parkinq of
all vehicles, if such parking is permitted within the corporate limit� of said City,
on said Trunk Highway, to be parallel with the curb adjacent to the Highway, and
at least 20 feet fr�► any crosswalks on all public streets intersecting said Trunk
Highway. �

PURPGSE AND RATIONALE FOP, THIS ACTlON: This �esolution is required by Mn/DOT �
before they op�n bids fo� this project (Bid opening is scheduled for b-26-81).
This project was initiated by the City, has bee� through the CIB proc�ss, a�d the
Councii approved the final order on 5-26-81. Mn/DOT has ag�reed to construct the
project at their expense. Fiscal l�aepact
This project will reduce maintenance cost at no additional City expens�.
