Approve attached ordinance to remove 10 hour parking meters from
Harriet Island.
PUIFOcE Ar]f PATIOIPZ,L: F{_1R Tf'IS AC'?'I;`1:
Removal requested by the Parking Commissiori.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: The meters were purchased through the Parking Administration
an cost about 8,000. These meters are reuseable and would cost bout $15
a meter to modify for one or two hour parking - a total cost of $2 ,625. Public
Works costs for labor and other material to install the meters was $4 ,266 .70.
The osts and double mounting heads are reuseable and are not part of the
$4,266. The parking meters and posts can be removed for. approximately $1 ,000.
Since these meters were lightly used, we would estimate there would be about a
TTA_$2 per day revenue loss from removing these meters.
