In the Matter of operating and maintaining the City-owned "Tawn Square" public
spaces located within the following streets: Ceclar Street, Eighth Street,
Minnesota Stcneet, and Sixth Street.
The costs for operating and mainta3.nin� the Tc�wn S�uare public spaced include:
cleanin� expenses, electrical, HVAC, elevator, plumbing, security, �eneral
operating expenses, building maintenance and repair, administrative and
general expenses, energy, water treatment, insurance and land.scaping.
The costs of operating and maintaa.ning the "Town Square" public spaces sha11
be assessed for a period f'rom August l, 19$1 to July 31, 1982, against the bene-
fited property awners of the dvwntawn area as designated in the Town Square
Assessment Policy formulated by the City of St. Paul.

The Council of the City of Saint Paul having received the report of the Mayor upon the above improvement, and
having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof
is $ 624,000.00 .
2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the �t� day of July , at
10:00 o'clock a.m.,in the Council Chambers of the City Hall and Court House Building in the City of Saint Paul.
3. That notice of said public hearing be given to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the
time and place of hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
