Specifically, all contracts, debts, obligations, 13 existing collective bargaining 'agreements and fringe benefit 14 plan affecting employees transferred from the housinq and 15 redevelopment authority of the city of Saint Paul and other 16 duties incurred by the housing and redevelopment authority of 17 the city of Saint Paul prior to the effective date of this act 18 relating to the authority' s housing program shall be assumed and 19 performed by the public housing agency and shall not be impaired 20 by the adoption of sections 1 to 4. 21 Sec . 2 . (TRANSFER OF PENSION COVERAGE FOR CERTAIN PUBLIC 22 I'.OUSING ACENCY EMPLOYEES. j 23 Notwithstanding any provisions of law to the contrary, as --------------------------------------------------------- 24 of the effective date of this act, all active employees of the -------------------------------------------------------------- 25 public housing agency of the city o£ Saint Paul who were -------------------------------------------------------- 26 initially employed by the agency between September 1, 1977 and -------------------------------------------------------------- 27 the .effective date of this act and who are members of the public ---------------------------------------------------------------- 28 employees retirement association shall ( a) cease to be members -------------------------------------------------------------- 29 of the public employees retirement association and cease to have ��e��.��.�.��..��..��.�.��.w��.��...�`�� 30 any accrual of service credit, rights or benefits in that ---------------------------=----------------------------- 31 retirement fund, and (b) , from and after the effective date of -------------------------------------------------------------- 32 this act, shall be members of the pension plan established by ------------------------------------------------------------- 33 the public housing agency. The amount of any employee ------------------------------------------------------ 34 contributions to the public employees retirement association ------------------------------------------------------------ 35 pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 353 . 27 , Subdivision 2 , -------------------------------------------------------------- 36 made by, and the amount of any employer and employer additional --------------------------------------------------------------- 2 �•yc��n N. No. 536 iG!�! tf 1 co:�tributions to the public employees retirement association ------------------------------------------------------------ 2 pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 353 . 27 , Subdivisions 3 -------------------------------------------------------------- 3 and 3a, made on behalf of, any employee with transferred pension ---------------------------------------------------------------- 4 coverage pursuant to this act shall �be transferred to the public ---------------------------------------------------------------- 5 housing agency pension plan from the public employees retirement ---------------------------------------------------------------- 6 association within 30 days following the effective date of this --------------------------------------------------------------- 7 act. 8 Sec . 3 . [EFFECTIVE DATE.
