WI�REAS, the City of Saint Pa.ul, acting through its Valuation Engineer,
has secured an agreement for the purchase for the follawing described proper-
ty:
Lots 2, 3, 8 and 9, Block 1, Lots 1 - 5, Block 2,
Barclay Estates
WHERFAS, the property herein described is necessa.ry for the Burns Averiu.e
_ Park and, wa.s approved for acquisition on August 26, 1980, by Cnuncil Resolution
275�+97. The price at which the prvperty may be purchased is in the amount
of $55,799•00, it bein� a f'a.ir and reasonable price for the subject property
according to the independent appraisal obta.ined by the Valuation Engineer; and
WHERFAS, the Valuation Engineer has recommended the purchase of sa.id
property at the price stated above; n�r, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize
and direct the proper City officials to execute the sa.id purcha.se agreement
for said property; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized
and directed to pay First Guarantee Corporation, record owner, the sum of
$55,799•00, the condition of said sale contained in the Purchase Agreement;
sa.id Purchase Agreement is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
Sa.id sum to be c�.rged from CIB Accaunt 9307�+-007, City Wide Bike System,
to be reimbursed from 1981 Capita.l Ittrprovement Bond Funds. (' �30�'I - a0�)
FURTI�R RESOLVED, that Council Resolution 276052, approved December 11,
1980, authorizing and directing City officials to enter into a purchase agree-
ment with Gary Thompson� President of Modular Homes, in the amount of $gg,000.00
for Barclay Esta.tes be and is hereby rescinded in its entirety.
