The creative genius of the entrepreneur combined with the
historic spirit of small business has dedicated itself to finding
solutions to the conditions of today in the private enterprise
system;
Saint Paul , like cities throughout the nation, depends upon
the imagination, skills and willingness of small business men and
women to take necessary risks to form a sound foundation for the
local economy;
Small business men and women are to be encouraged for their
contribution to the growth of our economy;
The week of May 10, 1981 , has been declared as Small Business
Week by the President of the United States in acknowledgement of
the entrepreneurial spirit characteristic of our nation;
THEREFORE, proclaim May 14, 1981 , as Small Business Day in
Saint Paul , Minnesota.
