Wf�EREAS, CBapter 5.02 of the Samt Paul Admmistrative Code authorizes the Divicion of Contract and Analysis Services
to dispose of surplus City properly and sets forth the procedures governmg the sale or donafion of such properly; and
WHEREAS, the Samt Paul Police Department has 17 Dell cenh�al processing imits (CPU's),1 Elite CPU,
2 A Open CPU's, l Packard Bell CPU, 1 Packard Bell monitor, 6 Oludata Prmters, and has determined that
this equipment is no longer needed to carry out departmentat fimctions; and
WHEREAS, the Samt Paul Police Department has received a written request from MasSeld Elementary School
dated June 6, 2000 (Attachment A) requesting that the above menfioned property be donated to the
organizafion to help it carry out its mission; and
WHEREAS, the donaRon of this equipment is related to the function of government, serves a public purpose, and is
for the benefit of the community as a whole because the equipment will be used by students of Masfield Elementary; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council hereby authorizes the donation of the above described surplus
property Masfeld Elementary School; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the said organizarion shall take responsibility for removing the surplus property from
City premises in a manner and in accordance �rith the timeline �nutually agreed upon with ttie DepaMment and shall
bear all with the removal and transportation of the designated surplus property and agrees to accept the property
as is; and be
FiNALLY RESOLVED, tt�at upon the donation, the City shaR have no further responsibilily for said property and
shall not pmvide any warranty, maintenance, repair, technical assistance, or any other kind of ongoing support,
nor assume any costs that may be related to the ongoing use of the pmperty by the donee organiaafion
