CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY LANG YANG AND TIMOTHY E. WARD
Claimant, Lang Yang, reguests reimbursement for damages to his
automobile which occurred when the street gave way beneath his
automobile on March 12, 1981, at Cottage and Grotto, Saint Paul.
The catch basin pipe broke causing the street to cave in. The
City of Saint Paul, Department of Public iaorks , sewer crew had
temporarily filled a street settlement at that location on
March 13 , 1981, and made permanent repairs to the street on
March 19 , 1981. This office axnroves the settlement of Mr. Yang's
claim in the amount of $277 .03.
Claimant, Timothy E. Ward, requests reimbursement for his horse-
shoe stake which was thrown out by the City of Saint Paul, Depart-
ment of Police. The stake was used in a burglary by someone un-
known to Mr. Ward and the Police Department failed to note that
the stake was the property of Mr. Ward and threw it out. This
office approves the settlement of Mr. Ward's claim in the amount
of $4 .00 .
