00-708�� RESOLUTION OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA Council File # 00 –"104' Green Sheet # �Of�f.3Q as � Presented By Referred to Committee : Date 1 WHEREAS, the Como Zoological Society, a non-profit organization 2 dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of Como Zoo, is holding 3 a golfing tournament benefit on Monday, August 7, 2000; and 4 WHEREAS, several concessionaires and food vendors have generously 5 offered to assist in this event to further its success; and 6 7 S 9 10 WHEREAS, the Society has graciously extended invitations to the tournament to elected City officials and City staff; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby accepts the thoughtful invitations to the event and appropriates them to the usage of City officials and staff; and 11 FURTHER RESOLVED, the Council hereby declares a public purpose in the 12 acceptance of invitations in acknowledgment of the good work of the 13 Society in furthering the continued usage and success of the Como Zoo; 14 and 15 FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Council expresses its thanks and 16 appreciation to the Society and supporting vendors and concessionaires 17 for the staging of this worthwhile public promotion and benefit.
