WHEREAS, for many years Louie Meyers has been an asset to the City of
St. Paul in terms of civic interests, financial interests, and city
developmental interests, and
WHEREAS, Louie Meyers served honorably and successfully on the St. Paul
Port Authority for fourteen years, and
WHEREAS, Louie Meyers has been vitally instrumental in the growth of
St. Paul, and
WHEREAS, Louie Meyers, as Pxesident and Chairman of the Board of the
St. Paul Chamber of Commerce, led and guided the actions of the business
interests of St. Paul, and
WHEREAS, Louie Meyers has expressed his dedication and commitment to
St. Paul irt his enthusiastic, courageous, and effective leadership and
life, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City of St. Paul hereby thanks, praises, and recognizes
Louie Meyers for his support, service and spirit, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Paul hereby declare
Friday, May 1, 1981, as Louie Meyers Day in St. Paul.
