WHEREAS, Laws of Minnesota, Chapter 129, Section 10 permits the City
of Saint Paul to issue an on-sale intoxicating liquor license to the City's
Division of Parks and Recreation, and the Division holds a liquor license
for Como Lakeside Pavilion: and
WHEREAS, the legislation authorizes the license to permit the sale of
alcohol on property owned by the City and under the jurisdiction of the
Division by persons holding a permit from the Division to conduct an event
and sell or serve intoxicating to persons attending the event; and
WHEREAS, Prom Management Group has scheduled events at Como lakeside
Pavilion for which it will be catering and providing alcohol service, and
each event consists of a private party of one day or less duration to take
place at the Pavilion, and Prom wishe5 to use the Divsion`s intoxicating
liquor license for these schedule events; and
V the events are scheduled for August 4, August 12, August 18
and August 19, 2000, September 2, September 17 and September 23, 2000, and
October 14 and October 21, 2000; and
WHEREAS, Prom Management Group agrees that at each of these events,
the alcohol can be served only to guests attending the event, that the
alcohol will be served during the hours scheduled for the event, and that no
alcohol can be served outside of the Como Lakeside Pavilion building; and
WHEREAS, Prom Management Group wi11 provide a certificate of liquor
liability insurance for each event naming the City of Saint Paul as an
additional insured, in an amount not less than the limits set forth in Minn.
Stat. §340A.409; now therefore, be it
RESOLVE➢, that the City Council of the City of Saint Pau1 authorizes
the Division of Parks and Recreation to issue permits to Prom Management
Group to serve intoxicating liquor to persons attending the events Prom is
catering at Como Lakeside Pavilion on August 4, August 12, August 18 and
August 19, 2000, September 2, September 17 and September 23, 2000, and
October 14 and October 21, 2000;and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that alcohol will be served on to persons who are
invited guests at the event, and may only be served during the hours for
which Prom has contracted to cater. Prom shall provide the city with a
liquor liability policy in amounts no less than those in Minn. Stat.
42 §340A.409 naming the City as an additional insured. Prom shall
43 all state and local laws relating to the service of alcohol.

The City of Saint Paul holds the liquor license for Como Lakeside Pavilion. The Prom Management Group has
committed to cater certain events at the Pavilion between August 4 and October 21. An approved Resolution by the
Saint Paul City Council is necessary for the Prom Management Group to use the City's Licenses and provide these
services.
ADVANTAGES IF APPROVED:
Liquor service will be available to those of age at for groups renting the banquet hall for private events. The City will
receive revenue from these sales as outlined in the Agreement between the City and the Prom Management Group.
