RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR LOAN
GUARANTEE ASSISTANCE AND NOTE UNDER SECTION
108 OF THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
ACT OF 1974 AND DESIGNATING THE HRA AS
PROGRAM P,DMINISTRATOR
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul made application for loan
guarantee assistance under Section 108 of the Housing and
Community Development Act of 1974 and said application was
approved in the amount of $5,000,000 as grant number
B-79-MC-27-0007 on January 16, 1981; and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the
City of Saint Paul, Minnesota (HRA) possesses the necessary
experience and staff to properly administrate this program
on behalf of the City.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the proper officers of the City are hereby
authorized to execute and submit to the United States
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) the
necessary contracts and other documents (after approved
as to form by the City Attorney) to effectuate the
Section 108 program.
2. That the HRA is hereby appointed to be the Program
Administrator and is hereby given all powers necessary to
carry out the Section 108 Program on behalf of the City.
