In fu�.l settleiaent of 1980-1981 negotiations the parties hereto have agreed as follows: 1. Except as herein modified, the signed 1980-1981 Collective Bargaining Agreement between the parties, shall be the basis of the forthcoming labor agreement. 2. Article XIV - Insurance of said Agreement shall be replaced with Article XIV - Insurance which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. It is understood tha.t the above settlement shall be recommended by the City Negotiator, but is. sub,�ect to approval by the City Administration and adoption by the Civil Service Commission and the City Cvuncil. CITY OF SAINT PAUL SAINT PAUL PROFESSIONAL II�LOYEES ASSOCIATION, INC. • • C.�� Labor Re ations ir tor Business Re entative Business Representative 4 �. , � ��66'�9 , ARTICLE XIV - INSURANCE 14.1 The EMPLOYER will continue for the period of this AGREEMENT to provide for , employees such health and lif e insurance benef its as are provided by the �iPLOYER at the time of execution of this AGREEMII3T. 14.2 The II�iPLOYER will for the period of this AGREEMENT provide for employees who retire af ter the time of execution of this AGREEMENT and until such employees reach sixty-five (65) years of age such health insurance benefits and lif e insurance benefits as are provided by the EMPLOY�R for such employees. 14.3 In order to be eligible for the benefits under this early retiree provision, the employee must: 14.31 Be receiving benef its from a public employee retirement acf at the time of retirement. 14.32 Have severed his relationship with the City of Saint Paul under one of the early retiree plans. 14.4 For each eligible employee covered by this AGREEMENT who selects Blue Cross- Blue Shield insurance coverage, the EMPLOYER agrees to contribute the cost of such coverage or $39.14 per month, whichever is less. In addition, for ea.ch employee who selects Blue Cross-Blue Shield dependentts coverage, the EL+�LOYER will contribute the cost of such dependent`s coverage or $90.66 per month, whichever is less. Any increases in these costs shall be paid by the employee. 14.5 For each eligible employee covered by this AGREEMEI�IIT who selects Group Aealth insurance coverage, the E1�LOYER agrees to contribute the cost of such coverage or $36.85 per month, whichever is less. In addition, far each employee who selects Group Health dependent's coverage, the II�fPLOYER will contribute the cost of such dependent's coverage or $b9.73 per month, whichever is less. Any increases in these costs shall be paid by the employee. 14.6 For each eligible employee covered by this AGREEMENT who selects the Coordinated Aealth insurance coverage, the II�IPLOYER agrees to contribute the cost of such coverage or $42.25 per month, whichever is less. Any increases in these costs shall be paid by the enployee. 14.7 For each eligible employee covered by this AGREEMENT who selects HrIO Minnesota insurance coverage, the II�IPLOYER agrees to contribute the cost of such coverage . or $39.14 per month, whichever is less. In addition, for each employee who selects the HMO Minnesota dependent's coverage, the IIKPLOYER wi11 contribute the cost of such dependent's coverage or $90.66 per month, whichever is Zess. Any increases in these costs shall be paid by the employee. 14.8 For each eligible employee covered by this AGREEMENT who selects the SHARE insurance coverage, the EMPLOYER agrees to contribute the cost of such coverage or $37.51 per month, whichever is less. In addition, for each employee who selects the SHARE dependent's coverage, the EMPLOYER will contribute the cost of such dependent's coverage or $76.51 per month, whichever is less. Any increases_ in these costs shall be paid by the employee. 14.9 The F.NIPLOYER agrees to contribute the cost for $5,000 of I.if e Insurance Coverage for each employee who is eligible for such coverage or $3.05 per month, which- ever amount is less. This contribution shall be paid to the II�FPLOYER'S Group flealth and k'elfare Plan. Any increase in this cost shall be paid by the employee. 14.10 In addition to the $5,000 Life Insurance Coverage in I4.9, the II�IPLOYER agrees to contribute the cost of additional Lif e Insurance Coverage or $ .5I per thousand dollars of coverage per month, whichever amount is less. The total amount of Lif e Insurance Coverage provided under this section and Section 14.9 for each employee shall be equal to the employee's annual salary rounded down to the nearest full thousand dollars. For the purpose of this sectian, the employee's annual salary shall be based on the salary as of the beginning of a contract period.
