WHEREAS, the City Council is alloted four public official positions on the
Board of Directors of Ramsey Action Programs, and
WHEREAS, there has been declared a vacancy on this Board of Dixectors, and
WHEREAS, the by-laws of Ramsey Action Programs designate the position to a
public official and/ox representative, therefore be it
RESOLVED, tha.t the City Council of the City of St. Paul does he Yeby appoint
Councilman WilTiam Wilson to the Ramsey Action Programs Board of Directors
to fill the public official representative vacancy.

RE: Ramsey Action Programs Board of Directors Vacancy
It has been brought to my attention that one of the repxesentatives of the
City Council on the Ramsey Action Programs Board of Directoxs has unfortunately
resigned. Lorraine Wood has served well for many years on the Board, instilling
leadership and dedication to solving and assisting in the needs of the low
income .person in Ramsey County.
According to the by-laws and constitution of the Ramsey Action Programs, the
City Council is allocated four public official, or representative, positions
on the Board. Presently we have three representatives and one vacancy.
The main goal is to have a public official serve, but in the past our schedules
or acti.vities :did not avail an opportunity for us to serve. Some time back,
Councilman Wilson expressed an interest to me of his interest to serve on the
Board of Directors of RAP. Based on the vacancy and the comments of Councilman
Wilson, the attached resolution wi.11 be on the agenda of the City Council in
the near future.
