proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000 , to:
1. Mildred C. Chmelvwsky the sum of $198 .38 in full settlement
of her claa.m of damages sustained on or about December 30,
1980 , as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim
filed in the City C1erk 's office on January 2, 1981.

M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY MILDRED C. CHMELOWSKY AND
BARBARA J. BRITAIN
Claimant, Mildred C. Chmelowsky, was involved in an automobile
accident with a City of Saint Paul, Department of Community,
vehicle on December 30 , 1980 . The driver of the City vehicle was
Kenneth R. Carel. Expenses are for the repair of the damaged
vehicle. This office approves the settlement of Ms . Chmelowsky's
claim in the amount of $198 .38 .
Claimant, Barbara J. Britain, requests reimbursement for damages
to her automobile tire which occurred when her tire was punctured
by a "curb iron" sticking out from the curb near St. Clair and
Pascal on October 20 , 1980 . The Department of Public InTorks was
made aware of the situation, a flasher was placed by the depart-
ment, and t�e curb iron was cut off on December 9 , 1980 . This
office approves of the settlement of Ms . Britain 's claim in the
amount of $55. 30
